How do I enable access to my camera or microphone? (apps)

Access to your device’s camera or microphone requires that you grant permissions to the app.

The first time you use a feature that requires either the camera or microphone, the app will ask if you wish to grant or deny the permission. If you decline the permissions request and then decide you do want to use a feature, you may have to go into your device’s Settings app to explicitly change and allow access to the app.

Follow the steps below on your web browser to access these permissions and configure them.

Android

  1. Open the Android Settings app.

  2. Tap on Apps, then tap on All apps.

  3. Scroll down, find BiggerCity and tap it.

  4. Tap Permissions.

  5. Tap Camera, and enable Allow only while using the app.

  6. Tap the back arrow at the upper left side of the screen to go back.

  7. Tap Microphone, and enable Allow only while using the app.

  8. Close the Settings app and return to the BiggerCity app. It should have access to these devices now.

iOS

  1. Open your iPhone’s or iPad’s Settings app.

  2. Scroll down to the list of apps, find BiggerCity and tap it.

  3. Enable the Camera toggle.

  4. Enable the Microphone toggle.

  5. Close the Settings app and return to the BiggerCity app. It should have access to these devices now.
